    • Primary role is to find efficient solutions for clinical workflows in the electronic medical record (Epic) while ensuring compliance with institutional standards and regulations. Strong customer service to manage expectations and translate end-user needs into build requirements, delegating tasks, leading and participating in cross-functional team meetings, and providing and accepting feedback are necessary skills for success in this position.
  • Providence Health and Services Portland, OR – Regional Lab Quality Coordinator – June 2016-Present
    • Primary role was to monitor compliance with regulations and accreditation standards, lead lab facility audits and inspections and summarize findings, and respond to standards interpretation requests.
  • St. Joseph Hospital – Eureka, CA – Lab Quality & Point-of-Care Coordinator and Transfusion Safety Officer – July 2015-June 2016
    • Primary roles were to manage the point-of-care testing program, the quality control and assurance program, and serve as transfusion safety officer.

MANAGEMENT SKILLS

  • Leadership: mentor new colleagues on team processes, request changes to processes or update existing tip sheets if workflows have changed or are unclear, proactively manage customer expectations and take advantage of opportunities to learn something new.
  • Collaboration: divide work quickly with colleagues who do department build using a Teams chat, brainstorm ideas with colleagues while troubleshooting tickets and figuring out workflows, build relationships with customers to gain an understanding of what they need from a change, and maintain relationships with other teams to facilitate smooth implementations and gain a holistic view of projects and functionality.
