Performed cardiovascular and functional balance screens (TUG) on church members as part of a larger "health fair." Provided these individuals with relevant education, relating to the results of their screens.

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 With two other classmates, organized this event with the "Playtime Project" to provide a small group of children experiencing homelessness in DC with fun, play based information about nutrition and exercise.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Performed initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and follow up visits for primarily Spanish and Amaric speaking patients. Have participated in a number of "Diabetes Clinic" days during which I performed Diabetes-specific screens and patient/family member education. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Provided medications as needed, took requests for and sorted through donated clothing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Motivated and cheered on the athletes, performed health screens for strength and balance.

 

 

 

 

 


 

Educated volunteers at the MDA camp on safer lifting/ carrying/

transfer techniques, tailored to the children to which they had been assigned.
